Inspection, Testing & Quality Assurance

For technical infrastructure projects, discovering an equipment discrepancy after international delivery can create significant delays and costs. Allstar Systems incorporates inspection, verification and documentation controls into the procurement and delivery process.

Pre-Shipment Inspection

Depending on project requirements, inspection can include a full set of checks before equipment is released for international transportation:

  • Manufacturer verification
  • Model verification
  • Part-number verification
  • Quantity verification
  • Serial-number recording
  • Physical condition inspection
  • Packaging inspection
  • Specification verification
  • Accessory verification

Functional Verification

Where technically and commercially applicable, equipment may undergo functional verification before shipment:

  • Power-on testing
  • Basic functional testing
  • Configuration verification
  • Interface testing
  • Compatibility testing
  • Customer-specific testing requirements

Factory Acceptance Testing. For applicable projects, Factory Acceptance Testing can be coordinated according to agreed acceptance criteria before equipment is released for shipment.

Documentation Control

Project documentation may include any combination of the following, coordinated and issued as part of the procurement and delivery process:

Commercial

Commercial Documentation

Commercial Invoice and Packing List prepared and issued in accordance with project and Incoterms requirements.

Quality

Quality Certificates

Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Quality and Certificate of Conformity obtained from applicable sources.

Technical

Technical Documentation

Manufacturer datasheets, technical specifications, manuals, drawings and applicable product documentation.

Inspection

Inspection & Test Records

Inspection reports, functional test records and serial-number documentation for traceability.

Warranty

Warranty Documentation

Warranty terms, registration information and manufacturer support documentation issued with the equipment.

Shipping

Shipping Documentation

Air Waybill, Bill of Lading, cargo insurance and other applicable transport documents coordinated before dispatch.

Quality Through Process. Our objective is not simply to inspect equipment at the end of procurement. Quality controls are incorporated throughout the project, from requirement definition and supplier review, through procurement coordination, pre-shipment inspection, documentation and final delivery.
